The 13th Edition of the "Chamber Trade Fair" with the theme - Industrial Linkage Empowers Agriculture opened on the December 18th at the Tamukkam Ground, organized by Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce. The inaugural function was hold by Collector N. Mathivanan.

The chamber president V. Neethi Mohan said that, this year's theme is "Industrial linkage empowers Agriculture".Thirty percentage of the 300 stalls have been allotted for agro-based industries.

A special feature of the fair is "Saved to be saved".
This is to encourage conservation of water resources, electricity, fuel and management of food.
Prizes worth a total of Rs 1 lakh would be awarded to 16 students with the best models kept on display between 25 and 29 December.
The Entry fee is, always, 10 Rs and you have a special coupon on your ticket to try to win a prize, every day.
When you enter, you're surrounded by advertisements of the exhibitors.
All the colors fall on you, you are submerged by the crowd but, when inside, your way is easy to follow.

The Fair have stalls exhibiting and selling:

• Household articles: carpets, decoration paintings, new water fountains...
• Office equipment: desks, seats, computers printers, small portable computers, pens, books.
• Imported or not furniture: arm chairs, sofas, beds tables and chairs, kitchen equipments, wardrobes....
• Toys: most of them in plastic: cars, puppets, games...
• Consumer articles: jewelry, shoes, bags, luggage, watches, longies, chudidhars, makeup, junk jewelry.
• Electronic goods: small generators, solar panel, flatscreen TV, portable water heaters, induction cookers, every thing which help to be more comfortable in the house.
• Building materials: home builders,
• Electronics gadgets: automatic illuminators, new led lamps, special sporting goods, educational DVD...
• New conditioned food: in hermetic bags like masala, all kind of spices, lyophilized coffee and seeds, corn flakes.

Many public sector agencies are exponents:

• Railways,
• Telecom,
• Departments of central excise,
• Service Tax and Small Savings,
• District Industries Center, Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation Limited
• And other departments: some stalls have been allotted for self-help groups.

As a matter of fact, we can find anything and everything.
We may buy or be informed about everything related our daily.
In such fair, you discover new items, buy something at which you would never think, make good business.
You, even, may have a break, relaxing outside listening music, eating or having your kids playing on the merry go round.
This place is a pleasure for the all family. If you have any question about any produce, you will, always, find somebody to explain.
That's why, year after year, there are more and more visitors.
